A longtime, respected business writer and editor, Melanie comes to DGC from Forbes Media, parent company of Forbes.com and Forbes magazine, where she was an Executive Editor. At Forbes, she interviewed and profiled some of the world’s most interesting business leaders and companies, including Virgin’s Richard Branson, PepsiCo chief Indra Nooyi and others, in magazine cover stories and articles. In addition, Melanie created the CMO Network, a Forbes.com channel with insight marketing content. As part of that she developed “On the Record,” a video interview series she hosted. Melanie also played an integral role in helping program Forbes’ annual invitation-only CMO Summit.

Before joining Forbes as a senior editor in 1999, Melanie was a business reporter at USA Today and a deputy bureau chief at Advertising Age, where she created the “Adages” column.

Over the years Melanie has interviewed countless thought leaders and written for numerous publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Glamour and Psychology Today. She has been a commentator on business and marketing trends on ABC, NBC, CNN, CNBC, Fox News and NPR’s “Marketplace,” and she is frequently called upon to discuss marketing, media and communications at industry conferences.

Melanie is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
