Jules Smith

HR Director

Jules is a true strategist with success in building and managing the Human Resources function in organizations. She is a highly effective communicator with the strong ability to build relationships and motivate teams in support of new initiatives. She has a passion for recruiting, employee development, strategic planning and employer branding.

Most recently, Jules was the Talent Acquisition Lead for North America with J. Walter Thompson. In this role, she was responsible for delivering standardization and improvement for Human Resource processes across various locations and established talent management metrics that assessed the business impact of the programs she developed. She provided direction, consultation and training for J. Walter Thompson’s talent acquisition strategy and developed programs for new talent initiatives.

Prior to this role, Jules was the Director of Talent Acquisition and Employee Relations with Rodale. She led the talent acquisition strategy and provided Human Resources counsel to Senior Management. She was instrumental in developing key talent initiatives and successfully established the company’s intern program as “best in class”.

A graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park and New York University, Jules holds a Masters of Social Work from New York University. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and sons in the city and is a true fitness enthusiast. She is a green-juice, smoothie addict who loves to spin, practice yoga and take long runs in Central Park.




Jules loves…the beach, playing in the park with her two boys, going for a run, vintage shopping and relaxing with a fresh mojito in summer!
