Robert (Bob) Osmond
Bob Osmond has twenty years of award-winning integrated marketing and public relations experience with a range of B2B and consumer brands, from start-ups to Fortune 50 companies.
Most recently, Bob was an SVP, account director, in the brand practice at Ketchum, where he was global account director for P&G Gillette and a senior counselor to other clients. Previously, at Cohn & Wolfe, Bob led the San Francisco office and participated as a member of the agency’s leadership team from 2005-2013, after an entrepreneurial stint as a consultant and several years at technology-focused UpStart Communications, a FleishmanHillard agency.
Bob’s experience spans a range of consumer, technology, and services companies, including Panasonic; Gillette; HP Services; Sun Microsystems; Interwoven; Documentum; Ooma; MakerBot; ETRADE; Enviance; GE Healthcare, among others. Bob’s work with agency teams has received industry recognition, including Cannes Lions, PR Week, Silver Anvil, Sabre and Compass Awards.
Bob is a native of Nova Scotia, Canada. Before starting his career in public relations and communications, he spent several years as an artist manager in Canada, working with bands signed to major labels, including EMI Music and Sony Music Canada.
Bob currently splits his time between New York City and Burlington, Vermont. He is no stranger to the train stations and airports of the tristate area.
He is a father of three and an avid runner.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy from Dalhousie University, Halifax.
I took a gap year between high school and university (that’s how we say it in Canada), and traveled/hitchhiked/worked in Europe for about 7 months. I grew up in a small town in Nova Scotia—it was my first time on a plane and my first time out of the country.
