A consigliere to the C-Suite through good news and crises, Sam’s top-to-top relationships and counsel are considered invaluable. Since founding DGC in 2006, her energy, creativity and vision have driven the PR agency’s culture and set the tone for deep and longstanding client, press, industry and influencer relations.
Sam learned the PR ropes in the ad-marketing industry, having worked for agencies including DMB&B and J. Walter Thompson, where she built and oversaw the New York, North American, and Global Communications teams from 1998-2005.
Sam holds degrees from the University of Chicago and has studied etching at The School of Visual Arts. An alumna of Brooklyn’s Poly Prep Country Day School, she remains a member emerita after many years of board service. Sam also served on the board of the Art Directors Club and is currently a board member of The Entrepreneurs’ Organization.
Named a 2016 Top Woman in PR by PR News and a 2014 Entrepreneur of the Year by the Stevie Awards, her leadership has led to DGC’s placement on the INC 5000 list of America’s Fastest Growing Companies each of the past five years. An avid adventure traveler, theater lover, art enthusiast and softball player, Sam lives and thrives in NYC.
